Ukraine
Jesus Christ was shared"
When the Marcum’s joined Fruit of the Vine Ministries in 2007 they were involved in ministry in the Ukraine. During their three years of living in Mukachevo Dale and Janice worked in ministry at the Evangelical Methodist Church and in the Roma villages. They also developed the orphan outreach of New Beginnings in 2004 which continues under the direction of Igor and Alexandria Matvayuk. The Marcums ministry included construction, helping with teams, street children, and orphans as well as local outreach. Due to partnerships orphans received a home and hope for the future. The church was remodeled and street children have a place to receive physical and spiritual food. Teams brought helping hands and when possible the gospel of Jesus Christ was shared.
Fruit of the Vine continues to partner with Ukraine YWAM ministries and director Sasha Volyanik. Sasha and family live in Ternopil Ukraine and work with the YWAM base. The Marcums have worked with Sasha and his teams in Mukachevo where they have ministry outreach to the Roma people.
In 2006 Jason Wiser joined the Marcums on a trip and met his wife Valeriia. They now live in Uzhgorod with their son Danya. The Wisers formed Michigan Bridge Ministries and are currently serving the Roma people in the village of Radvanka. Fruit of the Vine Ministries partners with Michigan Bridge and the work they are doing in Ukraine. We support some of the ongoing work at the Roma church and are blessed to be a monthly sponsor for Pastor Brugosh at the Radvanka church.
Michigan Bridge and the Radvanka church are making plans for a week long evangelism outreach in May of 2011. FOV ministries will be a part of that activity in whatever way we can.
